Elder Carlos E Ward, Jr serves as treasurer, and a Men’s Sunday School teacher at New Direction Bible Fellowship. Elder Ward has served consistently as a Trustee, Steward, and Deacon of two local churches for the past 20 years. He served as finance chair of a ten million dollar building project for a Philadelphia area church. He also chartered and was the first president of new Life Credit Union – a community credit union designed to educate, encourage and empower those within the Philadelphia community on financial literacy.

Professionally, Carlos is a Retirement and Investment Advisor. He is a passionate educator on retirement and associated financial matters. He enjoys teaching and conducting workshops on financial principles, and guiding attendees in the understanding that those principles all have their origins in the Word of God. One of his signature workshops, which he teaches in churches and other organizations, is “Practical Biblical Finance”. Carlos believes that Lifestyle Independence is a financial objective that can be attained whether one does or does not retire from their vocation.

Carlos’ studies include a BBS in Finance from Howard University, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificate from the CFP Board of Standards, current matriculation in the Widener University Masters of Science in Taxation program and more than twenty years of experience in the financial planning industry. Carlos is the founder and president of RollIRA® Financial Services, LLC., a retirement planning firm that focuses on helping professionals reach their retirement objectives.

Carlos’ recreational interests include racquetball, cycling and coaching little league baseball. He lives in Middletown, DE with his wife of 21 years, Lucinda, and their three children, Seth, Evan and Caitlyn.
